Figure 2.
The Vampire
Daywalkers
Graveborn
You are a vampire. A being changed by death and sustained by blood. While your kind manifests in many forms, all vampires share the same truth: hunger is the price of your continued existence. Whether you rise from the grave or walk unseen among the living, that hunger will always guide you.
The Daywalker is…
You are the unknown. You walk amongst the living, even enjoying the sunlight, while lacking the same mortality as those around you. You hunt in plain sight, no one knowing what you truly are until it's far too late. You are the perfect hunter. While you might try to be kind, might try to appear human, you will always hunger for the blood of those around you.
The sun no longer judges you, yet the hunger still remembers. Walk freely, child of blood, for you are neither damned nor saved, only enduring.
What a Daywalker can do:
Daywalkers are more durable than humans and can continue their tasks for much longer, as well as recover faster from harm. However, you are a hunter, able to strike out with claw-like nails to further injure your prey before their deaths. You can walk amongst your prey in the sun, always poised to strike them down should the need arise.
How to make a Daywalker:
Be bitten by a Daywalker. On extremely rare occasions, can be born if the pregnant mother was bitten right before the birth of the child
The Graveborn is…
You are the whisper in the dark, the creature that goes bump in the night, the shadow people see out of the corner of their eye when they think they're all alone. You are a creature of the undead, sustaining yourself on the life force, the blood, of the living. While you appear only as strong as a human, you are the type of being that refuses to let death claim you, rising again and again to live once more.
For most, death is the end. For you, it's an inconvenience. You have proven that the end can be ignored.
What a Graveborn can do:
While physically you aren't stronger than a human, you are much more durable and can continue doing taxing work for far longer than mere mortals. If you do come to harm, you recover significantly faster. You are death on two feet, able to rise from most things that would cause you harm. Perhaps you can rise in other ways as well?
How to make a Graveborn:
Consume the blood of a Graveborn or be bitten by a Graveborn, as you're about to die.
