Loom County Wildlife Wardens

Wild unser Wesen -Wild is our Nature

A protector of Loom County's wilderness and the wildlife that calls it home. Their mission is to educate civilians on the wilds, enforce laws that preserve it, and protect those who need to venture through it.

Who are the Wardens?

The Loom County Wildlife Wardens are tasked with protecting and preserving the county's wilderness, wildlife and natural habitats. Wardens are responsible for patrolling areas beyond town borders, educating civilians on proper hunting practices, and respond to threats from dangerous animal attacks, to unlawful hunting and poaching. Their presence ensures that the wilderness remains safe, and that all travelers interact with nature carefully and respectfully.

Wardens also work closely with the Loom County Sheriff's Office when crimes pertaining to the wilderness occur. They are expected to act in a professional and fair manner, focusing on de-escalation and education when possible, as prevention of a crime is better than punishing one that has been committed. Above all else, a Warden's duty is to stand watch over Loom County's natural beauty and protect it for future generations.
